It’s time we started activating our BOOTY power! The booty is one of our most powerful assets (pun intended), and the more we tune in to its potential, the healthier we’ll be. Bootyism is for men and women, and can be facilitated in group or individual settings. Bootyism gives you the chance to experience dance in your hips, pelvic zone, thighs, back, and of course, the booty, in new and exciting ways. Strengthen your core, release stress, and activate this indigenous life-force center of the body. Bootyism is fun and laughter is guaranteed. Daily prescriptions of Bootyism can increase happiness and, for women especially, greatly improve womb health. Embrace the booty! Be sure to watch the Bootyism video  and read the Bootyism article on past Bootyism workshops.

The Mother Dance-Dialogue Workshop was inspired by Binahkaye’s dance journey The Mother Project. This workshop invites participants to explore their ideas and personal experiences of/with the “mother” through creative movement and partner exercises. For mothers, daughters, and women and girls of the same family, the dance processes initiate a movement dialogue about the formation of personal identities as mother and/or woman. The workshop seeks to connect individuals to core elements of what shaped their ideas, memories, and identities as mothers, daughters, women, etc. The mother/daughter dynamic allows for women to trace the transference of identities, habits, and perspectives through the generations.

***The theme of mother resonates in different ways with everyone. This workshop can be formatted to meet the needs of diverse groups, regardless of gender.
